Assumptions and expectations, how much is going overboard? We never know until it happens. I, with a deeper instinct, choose a woman who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me to be naive or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a man. In a relationship each person should support the other; they should lift each other up. Assumptions are the termites of relationships. Relationships based on obligation lack dignity and substance.
