Alec Baldwin Is Charged for Fatal Shooting - Charges Carry Severe Consequences

The Scoop:

The famous actor Alec Baldwin, who fatally shot a cinematographer on the set of the Western "Rust," was just charged with manslaughter in New Mexico.

If convicted and sentenced, big-time Hollywood star Alec Baldwin could spend up to 18 months behind bars.

The Post Millennial revealed that Mr. Baldwin wasn't the only one charged. The film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierez-Reed, along with Baldwin, is being charged with two felony counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Cultured:

The discussion has been over whether the fatal shooting is primarily Baldwin's fault or his armorer's. What is not debatable is that Baldwin was the one who was holding the gun when it went off. But the Post-Millennial reported that complaints about the armorers mishandling of weapons had been filed against her before the incident.

Baldwin, who is a longtime gun control advocate, is being mocked by pundits such as The Bongino Report for the incident.

Who do you think is guilty?

  • Alec Baldwin

  • Hannah Gutierez-Reed (The armorer)

  • Both carry some guilt
