The Supreme Court Takes the Case:

News of the supreme court's openness to consider overturning the infamous Roe v. Wade decision comes after Wednesday's oral arguments.

The state of Mississippi seeks total invalidation of the court's 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade which established a Women's right to terminate unwanted pregnancies.

Mississippi has argued that the decision as well as other precedents have trampled states' 10th-Amendment right to decide public policy within their borders.

The case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, is to be argued over the coming weeks.

SCOTUS Opens Up

The Supreme Court’s conservative majority seriously questioned the legitimacy of previous court rulings (including Roe v. Wade) dating back almost five decades in the case The Wall Street Journal calls "the most significant abortion case in a generation."

For anyone watching Wednesday's arguments, it was a clear loss for the pro-abortion argument.

The court spent almost two hours on Wednesday debating what to do about the 2018 Mississippi law that banned abortion for women over 15-weeks pregnant. This abortion ban is almost two months earlier than the court typically allows.

This is so huge. I don't think many, even evangelical Christians are paying close enough attention to this and really understand how significant this is. Also, the Missouri solicitor general's opening statement was just magnificent. A brilliant weaving together of morality, law, and logic.
