Nikki Haley is expected to launch her campaign for president starting on February 14th, reports CNN.
As a Republican, Haley served as US ambassador to the United Nations under Donald Trump. Haley voiced strong support for Trump throughout his time as president, even saying that she would not run in 2024 if Trump ran a third time.
But that changed when she criticized Trump for the January 6th riot, losing some support among the MAGA base of the Republican party.
It will be interesting to see how the two, Trump and Haley, interact with each other on the debate stage given their prior relationship.
