Republican Mayra Flores defeated Democratic challenger Dan Sanchez in a special election on Tuesday in Texas’s 34th Congressional District, a solidly blue district that Biden swept by 13 points in 2020.
According to reports, the Republican, Mayra Flores, had Musk's backing and his vote.
According to Fox News, Elon Musk cast his vote for a Republican for the first time on Tuesday and hinted that it won't be his last Republican vote. On Twitter, Mr. Musk even went as far as to say that he's leaning towards supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2024.
Among other things, this win for the Republicans signals that the Hispanic vote has been almost entirely lost by the Democrats. The Post Millenial reported that over 84% of Texas's 34th district is Hispanic.
As the nation tumbles and Biden mumbles, voters are showing America that they want a change.
