The Russians have failed at a quick and clean invasion of Ukraine. And as the poorly equipped and now battered Russian light infantry rummage through abandoned Ukrainian homes for food, clothing, and shelter, the Kremlin’s invasion strategy has shifted from one of “shock and awe” to “blood and terror.”
At first glance, this information might sound like Ukrainian propaganda, but it’s not. Sources on all sides of the issue have conservatively estimated that the Russian invasion is a wreck and is inflicting untold economic costs on its military.
But mother Russia will not retreat without a fight. According to reports, the Russians have moved away from the more expensive guided-munition attacks and to artillery attacks that have obliterated countless civilian areas across Ukraine’s eastern border.
According to The Wall Street Journal, military analysts expect the next phase of the invasion to take place around Kyiv, where constant bombardment by Russian missiles has already gutted major portions of the city.
