Trump Gives Major Hint of 2024 Run, Gets 59% at CPAC (Straw Poll)



When president trump took the stage at CPAC, essentially the largest conservative platform in America, riotous applause and chants of "USA, USA, USA" thundered through the room.


Trump certainly remains a major influencer in the Republican party, with 59% of voters selecting Trump in the annual gathering's straw poll. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis followed Trump by more than 30 points, winning 28% of the straw poll, which included 2,574 attendees. When voter where asked who they would support if Trump was not on the ballot, 61% of attendees, including two-thirds of Trump supporters, said they would vote for DeSantis, according to CBS news.


"We are a sleeping giant,"

Trump said, speaking to America's foes abroad such as Russia and China. Mr. Trump continued to talk about the embarrassments of the Biden administration, and the necessity of a strong and competent commander in chief.


Trump went on to talk about all of the damage the Democrat party, spearheaded by the Biden administration, has done: "The country has lost its self-confidence," he said.


"They're going to find out the hard way..."

He also hinted at a presidential run in 2024 when he said, "They're going to find out the hard way starting on November 8, and then even more so on November 2024, they will find out like never before. "


"We did it twice and we will do it again, we're going to do it again, a third time," he said. "2022 will be the year that millions of every day citizens stand up to the leftwing fascists, and they will continue and we will all continue together to make America great again." Trump finished his speech.
