Trump Was Banned from Twitter, But Look Who’s Still There

As of Wednesday, the official Twitter page of the Russian President Vladimir Putin, “President of Russia,” was up and running. This sparked harsh skepticism considering that the 45th president of the United States’ Twitter account, the account of Donald Trump, was still banned.

Twitter was immediately criticized for banning of then-President Donald Trump’s account. Skeptics cited the fact that there was no evidence that Mr. Trump used his Twitter account to incite violence despite Twitter’s claims on the contrary stated immediately after the banning.

In the blog post published by Twitter regarding the banning of Mr. Trump’s account, they said one of the reasons for doing so was to avoid the “risk of further incitement of violence.”

Many people took to social media on Wednesday to point out the fact that Vladimir Putin is literally using violent and deadly force to invade a neighboring country unprovoked, yet his Twitter account had not yet been suspended.
