FIREBRAND: DeSantis Announces Major Change To Republican Strategy

- News -

"We need help at the local level," DeSantis said at a firehouse rally consisting of hundreds of supporters during a campaign event Sunday.

"You guys, with your power, going out and voting is going to make a huge difference."

According to a report by Business Insider (one that trended for most of the day on Monday), the Florida Governor and rising star in the Republican party has endorsed 29 local, conservative candidates ahead of Tuesday's school board elections.

The report went on to point out that these races usually don't receive much attention on the national level, and are technically "nonpartisan."

It was never a secret that in the years leading up to the modern era of heated culture wars, the left had been targeting small, local elections. Though this kind of local campaigning has been done to some extent by both parties, the left has long held the upper hand in local, "nonpartisan" elections.

School board elections are important when it comes to deciding school budgets, spending, debt reduction, enrolment, schedules, and mandates regarding masks and vaccines.
